Park Architecture LLC is seeking an experienced Landscape Architect / Site Designer for our office in Hanover, New Hampshire.
Since 2007 Park Architecture LLC has been designing thoughtful landscapes and site plans for numerous clients throughout the US. The focus of our work is in Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts serving both public and private clients. We are pursuing dedicated and engaged individuals to work collaboratively as part of our Landscape Architecture office.
The Landscape Architect / Project Manager will support our office with the preparation of conceptual, permitting, and construction drawings for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional sites. Assignments will include the preparation of detailed layout, grading, drainage, site lighting, and landscape drawings. In addition to site design work and landscape plans, you will also prepare custom site details such as paving, patios, freestanding & retaining walls, fencing, walkways, sculpture, pools, arbors, and outdoor amenities. Responsibilities will include the production of accurate, detailed and organized work products that effectively communicate design intent, as well as participation in the CAD quality control process and overall management of company CAD standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Professional degree in design related field of study
- 1-5 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Adobe Suite (Photoshop) and Microsoft Office
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and able to handle 3-4 projects simultaneously
- Good written skills, site documentation and analysis capabilities
Preferred Candidates:
- 2+ years' experience in a related field
- Familiarity with construction documentation, architectural and engineering design
- Skilled with hand rendering, illustration, cad drafting, and sketching capabilities
- Understanding of New England landscapes and native-area plantings
- Basic understanding of website design and marketing

Project Manager - Richardson & Associates

Project Manager applicants should have a minimum of 4 years proven project management experience, including excellent communication and time management skills. All associates contribute in all phases of projects, from a project’s inception with proposal writing, budgeting, and other non-billable tasks to project coordination, planning, analysis, design charettes, design development, public speaking, report writing, and permitting, as well as construction documentation and administration. Applicant should have interest in a very hands-on design process including hand drawing and construction administration in the field for most projects.
A proven track record of managing, coordinating, and collaborating with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members is a high priority for this position. As well, applicants should have experience with, and enjoy, a fast-paced work environment involving day-to-day management of multiple projects across a wide spectrum of types, sizes, and tasks.
A Master’s degree is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a high degree of competency in areas of design and have excellent written, graphic (hand and computer), computer, and technical skills. Proficiencies in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp are required.
This individual must be a team player, have strong organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills, and be comfortable managing a diversity of tasks. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, articulate, and willing to take initiative.

Applicants are required to be licensed and to have an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program. This position is primarily designed for candidates with 6-8 years of experience in the Landscape Architecture field. However, we remain open to other candidates who are able to demonstrate your experience serving resort or hospitality communities, entrepreneurial spirit, and design acumen.
Other required skills and experience include:
- Excellent hand sketching skills and ability to communicate ideas graphically
- Proven success managing teams (scope, fee, schedule, and team needs) on small, medium, and large-sized landscape architecture projects
- Strong construction documentation and administration experience
- Experience contributing to project proposals, marketing, and business development

As part of the Landscape Architecture team, this position will work closely with project managers and other staff while contributing to all aspects of SE Group’s design efforts. - Contribute to the development of master plan and site-specific design projects from concept through implementation. Work alongside team members and clients to deliver a process of site analysis, concept/schematic design, design development, all the way through construction documents and getting projects built!
- Produce project graphics and assist with design documentation for our full suite of projects, from ski base areas to riverfront parks. Develop creative articulations of project outcomes to the client and community stakeholders and collaborate with the team in developing site design, layout plans, grading plans, and detailing.
- 3D Modeling: Utilize 3D models using programs like SketchUp, Rhino, and Lumion to articulate and study site design options.
- Coordinate and assist in leading on-site project meetings, design charrettes, project presentations, and stakeholder engagements.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution. This position is primarily designed for candidates that are relatively new to the field of Landscape Architecture and have 0 to 3 years of professional experience.
Other required skills and experience include:
- Strong ability to communicate ideas graphically; hand-sketching skills are preferred – show us your skills in your portfolio!
- Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud suite, and 3D-modeling platforms – you’ll use these tools day-in and day-out to communicate your work
- Technical design skills – including grading and detailing.
- Excellent writing skills – this position requires you to be able to contribute to projects narratively
- A curious and entrepreneurial spirit – you don’t just “do the job”
